I was working a new home listing last Sunday and was impressed with the design quality of this particular show home. Built in shelving units, wine racks and custom lighting are just a few of the features builders are adding to homes to attract buyers who are often wanting more than just eggshell painted drywall in their new homes.
Contrary to popular belief, a Leger Marketing poll has found that
almost half of mobile Baby Boomers (the wealthiest generation ever) are looking to purchase another primary
residence that is a similar size or larger than their current property. This is partly because the Boomer children (Generation Y) are finding it more difficult to find suitable jobs and are staying home well into their adult years.
So as the buyers have more money, they want nicer surroundings.
